Maya
I have been in this business for a long time now. I went to Lasting Impression Fashion school based in London. I have lots of experience with all kinds of clothing alterations. I have a passion for what I do and bring the smile out in peoples faces.
OUR
HISTORY
For the longest time I was working for a company based in Phoenix, Arizona called "Alterations by C Family". Maybe you have heard of it, It was a very well known alterations company in Arizona. I worked for them for 12 years until the owners decided to close the stores and head into retirement.
After I got the notice that they were closing the stores, I decided that it was time for me to open "G and J Alterations." Once I opened my store on Tatum and Cactus I had high hopes in thinking that I would be the next "C Family." Well business was good but not what I was hoping for. After 3 years of owning my own store I decided it was time to move else where which is where I am currently located and been for the past 8 years. All the clients that I had at my first location all followed me over and even brought me in new clients!
Our expertise
My highest experience would be in wedding/formal dresses, men's suits but that's not all I do. I am fully capable of doing any type of "clothing" alteration from take ins to let outs, to making pants into shorts
